Pictures

Molly's sister Emily is here for a week to visit and help cook and take pictures of our adorable baby. We appreciate having her around so much. Between Grandma Connie (GCon) and Aunti Em we feel like we actually live close to home.  It's a good feeling.

Today we had our second checkup with the doctor.  Miss Charlotte's head is in the 99th percentile (has to be to hold those brains) and 90th percentile for height. She gained 14 ounces in 9 days so I guess she is actually eating, though sometimes I would really like the visual confirmation of seeing an empty bottle.  And since I know if you are reading this you just want pictures:

The bonnet in this first one is a bonnet that Molly's grandmother wore when she was a baby... Pretty awesome that it is still around.  It barely fits her!

Baby update 2.0

She has officially arrived. We wanted very much to have a completely natural birth but she just refused to come. Thanks to a couple of great inspirational friends and great teamwork by grandma Connie (Gcon as I affectionately call her much to her despise) and I we were able to help Molly deliver our little bundle without any pain medications despite being induced.

We have lots of thoughts about our birthing experience but we know most people don't care and just want to see pictures, so I will share just one. I have never loved Molly more than seeing her do more than most people think is humanly possible to meet her baby. Such determination and love makes my heart melt.

So without further ado we introduce Charlotte Elizabeth to you:

Also my beautiful wife chillin in the hospital:
