Oh Boy! Oh Boy!

Q got a splinter.
It has been quite the week!  Today is bittersweet, my Mom, Dad, sis & brother-in-law, all got on planes this morning leaving Vegas. (Carol will soon too!)  My parents were here for a week and my sis and BIL for the weekend.  I loved loved loved having them here with us.  We don't get to see each other often, so it was an especially wonderful treat. That was the sweet part. The bitter part is now that they're gone, I'm feeling particularly lonely.

Quintin and I also were able to find out this week that our little bundle of joy is actually a GIRL! We had a get together while my family was in town to reveal the gender - though we could have found out weeks ago.   A sealed envelope from the ultrasound that revealed the gender sat around our house calling for us to open it- It was hard not to peek! My friend came to pick it up and made a pink cake covered in frosting and when we cut into it - we were quite surprised - we were both so sure it was a boy!  Little baby girl is doing well as far as we know, and growing right on schedule!! We've decided to keep calling her Poppi for now since we pretty much only have boys names picked out.  She'll be due right around Independence Day, I have never been more excited for the holiday as I am now. Just a little over 4 months from now, I'll have our sweet little baby in my arms. Ahh, I don't see how I can possibly wait that much longer! We were both VERY happy that she is doing so well in there.
My job/school situation isn't working out quite like I thought it would, but if there's anything marriage has taught me, it's that the best way to live life is roll with the punches, and not try too hard to control the outcome of everything you deal with. I know things will work out the way they are meant to, and I keep telling myself that I can only do as much as I can do. No reason to stress the small stuff, right? In every aspect of life, Quintin is so encouraging and loving, he's my number one fan :) Which works out well, as I try hard to be his own personal cheerleader. I love our relationship, I think we balance each other so well, it's almost perfection.

When my family was here we drove down to the Grand Canyon Friday morning and returned Saturday evening.  There was snow and fresh air! It was a fun short trip.  There may be pictures of that later...
GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL!
Now accepting name suggestions!  :)

  4. Thrilled. When Quintin was expected, my 14 year old mind thought Ruthberry would be a lovely name.
