We got in from our spring break road trip on April 1st.
On April 3rd I finally took my personal trainer exam and am now certified. So anyone who wants a trainer - call me up I need some success stories. Cause looking at me sure isn't going to sell anyone.
April 4-8 I spent in MN for G's funeral. It was a quick, cold trip. But so nice to see family and remember such a wonderful lady. I wanted to say a few things about her at the funeral/viewing but there wasn't an open mic time - which is probably wise because I know everyone there could've gone on and on sharing sweet stories and memories of her and it would've taken weeks. But I would've said that she was the most gracious and loving and probably the cutest little lady ever, I thought of her as another Grandma. Quintin always said she made him feel like family. It worked out so perfect for us when she wanted someone to live with her and we were moving to Vegas. She made us feel right at home. I loved getting to know her and was always impressed by what she could do from her recliner. Last year she planned and threw a surprise party for my birthday. Another time I was showing her a necklace I ordered and when it arrived she had gotten me the matching earrings!
Every night she would say she was glad I was there and she didn't know what she would do without me, and I would tell her the same. Though she took us in to take care of her, she really was the one taking care of us. I am so thankful for the experience and we really miss her.
A couple weeks ago I started training at a gym. This has been good for me cause it really keeps my mind off of being so pregnant, and missing G. It also gets me out of the empty, internetless house. It is very part time right now since I have to get clients myself and as you can see from my picture - people are not jumping at the opportunity just yet. But the clients I have are really fun - and it has kind of rekindled my fitness bug. I really do enjoy the gym and working out and I even more enjoy helping other people.
Quintin has been super crazy busy - seeing clients, working on his thesis and finishing up the semester. He started teaching gymnastics a few hours a week at a small gym. He likes the low stress environment and he gets to stay in shape doing gymnastics himself - which will make him the coolest dad ever!
Poppi has also been very busy. We are seeing the Doc every 2 weeks now and he says we are textbook and boring (which right now is a wonderful thing). She traveled to MN with me of course she also went to Alabama, and all those states between to Arizona. She seems to enjoy the gym - except when I demonstrate ball crunches or the ab machine. She is very active these days and we are
very funny and sweet post sister.
ReplyDelete8 weeks!! Also, I think you'll be plenty inspiration. Freakishly fit trainers kind of intimidate me.
